What is bird flu (Avian Influenza)?
It is a kind of virus that spread between wild aquatic birds (EX:
ducks, geese, swans)
And via these animals, virus can spread to domestic animal such as chicken, ducks, turkeys
There are many kinds of bird flu, and most of them don’t affect human. Yet, there are still 4 kinds of viruses that can infect people and cause severe symptoms from fever, and soar muscle to Pneumonia (lung disease) and might lead to death.

There are 3 purposes for wearing proper protection
- Avoid staff from infected by virus
- Prevent the virus from spreading to non-contaminated areas
- Protect frontline workers’ safety from contamination when cleaning, disinfecting, and using chemicals
According to the UK government, full protection includes appropriate coveralls, disposable gloves, rubber or
polyurethane boots, FFP3 respirator, and protection for eyes
