Taiwan Regulation – CNS 16103
In the past, Taiwan’s industrial safety regulations have consistently fallen short of global standards, particularly in the field of chemical protective clothing. However, the situation has improved in recent years. In September 2019, the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Bureau of Standards and Inspection announced a new set of CNS national standards CNS 16103:2019, which became the specification for chemical protective clothing for industrial use. Taiwan’s independent protective clothing specifications retain the concept of European regulations and Japanese protective clothing standards, but slightly adjust the classification to make the choice of protective clothing more relevant to Taiwan’s needs. The protective clothing specification originally referred to European regulations and Japanese standards, so ISO or JIS standards will be cited as the testing basis at the same time.
