Japan Regulation – JIS T8115
Currently, Japan’s chemical protective clothing normative standard is JIS T 8115:2015 version, which is primarily formulated under the provisions of Article 12, paragraph 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law, which applies to Article 14 of the Japan Safety Standards Association (JSAA) and The Japanese Industrial Standards formulated by the Japan Standards Association (JSA). It is proposed by the Ministers of Labor and Economy, Trade and Industry. The classification is also based on the European Union’s classification level, which is primarily based on the JIS test method. The specifications for protective clothing in Japan are also the same as those in Europe.
